BGA has just completed a major research project on behalf of the Western Australian Department of Training and Workforce Development.
The Department used a public tender process to seek suitable consultants to provide advice on the skills required in Western Australia in the future to deal with changes in industry practices as a consequence of climate change. BGA was selected to undertake the work.
Between November 2009 and April 2010, BGA conducted extensive consultations with a broad range of Western Australian industry, community and vocational training constituents and undertook a broad ranging literature and desktop review of global green job and green skill initiatives.
On the 5 May, BGA handed over the final report to the Department and provided a number of key recommendations on future activity.
The report is currently being considered by the Department and will also be a key item for discussion on the agenda of the Western Australian State Training Board at its meeting on the 17 June.
BGA will be pleased to provide a down-loadable copy of the report on the website after the State Training Board meeting on the 17 June. If you want a copy of the report, please re-visit the site after the 17 June.
I the meantime, if you want to find out more about the project contact Steve Balzary on 0418215732 or Gary Collins on 0448799887
